Show Notes

Why do we put up with the way this world is wired? Animals just are. They don't dread Mondays or wish for the weekend. We built civilization, which I like, and then forgot how to just be.

I talked with a successful business owner today. Many locations, owns the land under them. The thing he was most excited about had almost nothing to do with that business. It was the one project that holds everything he knows, loves and is good at. That's the dream trying to come up. You have to do that.

If this is a consciousness simulation, then I'm here by my own choices, and I decide what the purpose is. Making money is not a purpose. It's a tool. The game defends itself exactly where you're weakest, so the closer you get to your real purpose, the more it costs. Hormozi says the price of success is being willing to be humiliated. I'd go further: it shouldn't even register as a price. The people mocking someone who is genuinely walking their path are either NPCs or people who have tragically lost themselves. It's noise. Let it fade.

I use AI all day, every day. Don't outsource your thinking, your decisions or your soul to it. It doesn't know the real you. Only you do.

I'm a bit of a hypocrite here too. Am I living 100% toward my purpose? Kind of. Not fully. So this one is a note to self: control the actions, the attitude and the energy every day, stop obsessing over outcomes, and be patient.

[00:00:01] Why do we put up with this structure of the way that this world is wired? [00:00:10] Been thinking about that a lot lately. [00:00:16] And I'm not the only one that's been thinking about that. Because in thinking about that, maybe talking about that with people, the algorithm is listening and reading my thoughts as the iPhone is capable of doing and feeding me more and more of these types of posts from other people too. [00:00:40] Which is interesting. [00:00:42] I mean, it's really valid. Not that. [00:00:50] Not that what built this world is bad or in any way. [00:00:59] Because obviously we like civilization, we like technology. [00:01:06] It doesn't mean that the people behind it are good for sure, or that horrible things didn't happen in the process of building it. But if you look at animals, they just are. [00:01:23] An animal can just be, and it can just be completely content to just be. [00:01:31] It doesn't worry about bills or taxes or insurance or making ends meet, or it doesn't wish for the weekend. [00:01:44] It doesn't dread Mondays as the weekend comes to a close. [00:01:49] It's like animals just are. [00:01:52] And if you go back in history, you look at the words of Jesus and talking about, consider the lilies of the field or the birds of the air. They don't plant, they don't harvest, and yet they have food provided for them by their creator. [00:02:20] Like, if you zoom out and look at this as like a big experiment in consciousness, Like, how many trends have we lived through in the last few decades because of the speed at which ideas can travel the Internet last 25 years, 30 years. [00:02:54] It just seems like we've gone through saying that really dates me, right? [00:03:01] Since I was a wee lad and had my first Hotmail address. [00:03:07] How many iterations of trends and generational movements, hashtags, have we gone through over that time period? [00:03:23] And maybe it just seems like it's been really, really fast, faster than normal. [00:03:28] Because I'm old, so everything sort of compresses in hindsight, but I'm not old. [00:03:37] Age is just a number. [00:03:41] It starts to feel old when I remember clearly when it was 20 years ago, it's like, ah, 20 years. Like, how many things have we gone through in those last 20 years? And for someone who's 20 years older, like, dude, you're old. [00:03:58] Like, because for them their time compression is like the last two years, three years. [00:04:05] But it does seem like things have sped up a lot in hustle, culture, influencers and the whole scam vid thing. Just how the world has changed in the last six years because of that. [00:04:26] Especially how it's become so divided, so polarized. [00:04:34] Naturally, I was talking to someone today who's a business owner, successful, and. [00:04:54] Through the course of our conversation, it turned out that he's like, really, really excited about something. [00:05:02] It is only loosely related to the business. [00:05:07] And this is a business that has many locations, like, well, accounts like a successful business, owns real estate, owns a lot of the land that they. Where they have the locations. [00:05:23] He was most excited about developing something uniquely his vision and ideas and knowledge, experience, all of it just encapsulated in this one thing. [00:05:42] I don't know why I lost my voice. I guess because I've been talking all day and not sleeping very much. [00:05:50] Babies will do that too. [00:05:53] But it was interesting because, I mean, we have hit it off since our first conversation anyway. But it's like, man, you gotta do that. [00:06:05] Like, that is the passion, the dream that I was talking about the other day. [00:06:12] Like, it's coming up and you're not just doing it to make a buck. [00:06:21] It's like, it's encapsulating all of those things that you love to do that you're good at, that you believe that there's an opportunity if the world needs this thing and that you can make money at it. [00:06:33] So it's an investment to do it. [00:06:36] Like, that's beautiful. I love to see that for anybody. [00:06:45] And sometimes I think about, like, how this is all just a big simulation and nobody else is real. [00:06:54] Not even the. [00:06:56] The zero people watching this video right now are real. [00:07:02] But even if they were, like, if there were people, would they be real people and say, whoa, what am I doing? [00:07:12] If I'm. [00:07:15] If I'm not vibrating at a higher level of joy and just relishing every moment of every day and being who I really am and doing what I want to be doing, I'm wishing that I was somewhere else doing something else. [00:07:33] Why am I not doing that if this is just a big simulation? [00:07:41] Like, where did I go down a pathway consciously in this game, in this simulation that I didn't want to go down, if that's the case? [00:07:55] Because we all have days like that, right? We all have days that are just like, I want to do this anymore, whatever it is, Even if it's something that you love to do. Like, I've had days like that in my whole life. [00:08:06] I think everyone does. I'm sure even the greats at sports or art or whatever, they have days where you're just like, don't want to pick up a microphone. I don't want to sing today. [00:08:17] I don't want to pick up A ball. I don't want to have anything. I just want to, like, go to sleep or go swim, whatever it is, or drive. [00:08:32] Go play golf. [00:08:39] Like, what's it all gonna come to if. [00:08:42] If everything that those of us who do believe in tinfoil hat stuff believe has come true in the last couple of decades? Like, it's a depopulation and just the whole destruction of everything. Like, what's happening right now with. [00:09:01] Most people are not even aware what's going on in the Middle east, how that's going to impact food production going into next year. [00:09:18] What is the purpose of it all? [00:09:24] And do I get to determine what that purpose is? [00:09:29] If it's a consciousness simulation, the answer is yes. I determine what the purpose of it all is because I'm here in this part of the consciousness simulation by my own choice, by my own. [00:09:47] By my own decisions. [00:09:50] So therefore, I determine what the purposes. [00:09:55] It's not being determined for me. It's not a fate thing. [00:10:01] It's something that I have made those choices, those decisions to go down that path. [00:10:11] Now, is it something where I'm going to learn the lessons I'm supposed to be learning, or is it something where I'm learning the same lesson over and over because I haven't learned it yet? [00:10:23] Like, does it seem like deja vu? Does it seem like. [00:10:26] Keep repeating the same mistakes over and over again? Why? [00:10:32] The goal is to level up. And that doesn't mean monetarily or materialistically necessarily. It may also, I do think that. That the people who reach higher levels in this earthly journey are one of two things. Either they're, like, extremely depraved and evil, they've sold their souls for materialism, or they have figured out the way to level up and they're learning other lessons. And because nobody has a perfect life, everyone has challenges and lessons to learn, no matter what level you're at as a human on this journey. [00:11:26] But like, with this friend that I was talking to and his project that he wants to do and how he's so passionate about it, he said, and how it just fits. [00:11:37] He's a good guy as far as who he is. [00:11:41] Those are the things, I think that we inherently know the truth of what we're supposed to be, who we're supposed to be, and what we're supposed to be doing. [00:11:51] And that's where the greatest lessons come from. [00:11:54] And that's why it's often so difficult to go down that road. [00:12:00] Because whatever, this game has, you know, a defense system to keep us from just Easily passing the test. [00:12:14] Those defense mechanisms come against the real purpose and plan that we're supposed to do. [00:12:24] In whatever way is the weakest. [00:12:30] Whatever those insecurities are, those fears are those. [00:12:35] Those points of like, those are the, you know, the chinks in the arm or the, the gaps where we're not protected, Those are where the arrows come in. [00:12:51] And I don't think it's even. [00:12:57] Excuse me, I don't think it's even that we're supposed to protect against that. [00:13:01] It's more of just get it. What's that expression? Take a licking and keep on ticking. Like you just have to get hit and get back up. [00:13:14] I saw something from Hormosi, Alex Hormosi, recently, about, like, the price that you have to pay for success is being willing to be humiliated or something, Something along those lines, to be embarrassed. [00:13:33] That goes into it, right? Because if your purpose is something that makes you vulnerable because you know, deep inside, subconsciously, even more than consciously, you know that that's connected to your bio. [00:13:45] So that's why you have to do this thing. [00:13:48] That's where the greatest lessons are going to come from. But that's also where those feelings of shame and humiliation and embarrassment and mockery, that's where it, like, hurts the deepest. It's where it hits the hardest. [00:14:09] I really wonder what's this whole AI thing, how it's going to play out, because a lot of people are outsourcing all of their thinking to that. [00:14:22] All their decision making they're not in touch with. [00:14:26] I mean, even before AI, like social media, how many people could just sit quietly and think inside their own head with no distractions, no music, no tv, no other people, no scrolling. [00:14:47] It's so important to do that. [00:14:51] Even more so now, probably to not let. And I use AI extensively every day, but it's so important to not outsource the thinking or your decision making or your soul to the machine. [00:15:09] Because. [00:15:15] Ultimately it doesn't know. It doesn't know you. [00:15:18] It might say that it does. It might have a profile of you. [00:15:23] It may have a description of what you do, what you like, the questions you ask, the things that you search for, et cetera. But unless you're going really deep with your AI agent, which may be concerning also, like, it's not gonna know the real you. [00:15:48] Only you know that. Only I know the real me and the things that I really want to accomplish and the frustrations of not fully immersing myself in that path. [00:16:05] And that can be the heaviest weight of all. It's like if you're not chasing that with reckless abandon, if you're not obsessed with your purpose and making money is not a purpose, like it is a tool to help you expand and grow and find your purpose and multiply it and to make it bigger and have more impact, etc. But the get rich or die trying idea, that's not a purpose. There has to be something greater. Which is why so many startups only goal is to get rich fail. Because you don't have the staying power for when times get tough as they will always. And especially if you're on the path that this simulation has for you to truly test your mettle and find out who you are and go through it to learn those lessons. [00:17:11] So it's almost as though life was created to be difficult. And the more difficult it is in alignment with living your purpose, the more correct it is and the more likely you are to learn the lessons you're here to learn. [00:17:36] And yet everybody just wants a lottery ticket. Everybody just wants to. Not everyone, but so many people just want to kick back and relax and enjoy life. And that's not our purpose. [00:17:55] It's funny to me especially, especially when they're religious people who are lazy, who are not driven, who are not totally sold out to their beliefs. It's like, what are you doing? [00:18:12] Like, if you believe this, you should just be all in it, all the time with sharing this with people in every way that you can and find what your talent and ability is to share with people. [00:18:33] Because if you truly believe this thing this is like, has eternal consequences according to your belief system. Like, why would you not be all in? [00:18:43] How could anything else take precedent over that path if you truly believe it? [00:18:54] So then I have to look at the me, look in the mirror for myself and be like, well, I don't buy into any of the religious stuff, but I do believe that, that there's a purpose to my existence, that it goes beyond merely existing, that there is a purpose, that I'm here to learn certain things and the only way I'm going to learn those things is by fully accepting who I am and what I deep down desire. Like what those dreams are, what the, the goal for. Like, if you had to put a gun in my head, it's okay, tell me what the purpose of your life is. [00:19:40] Am I living towards that goal? Yes, kind of. Not 100% though. So I'm kind of a hypocrite too. Like I'm talking about with people who are super religious, but it only sort of shows, right? [00:19:54] Same Thing like it is a consciousness simulator that we're in. What am I doing? Why am I not only doing that which is going to lead me down the path towards my purpose? [00:20:08] That's really the only question. [00:20:12] And for me, because I do believe that, I do think that we're spiritual beings having a human experience, whether this isn't. [00:20:19] However it factors in, I kind of think that we're just helping the divine to evolve. And so this is part of the process of going through these phases of being these types of beings on this planet or in this. In this simulation to have unique experience. [00:20:40] So then I. I only have one purpose. There's only one reason for my existence. [00:20:46] So who is Josh? Why am I here? [00:20:52] And it's not 20 different things, and it's not materialism, and it's not anything connected to anything external or any one external. It's something that only I can truly find within myself. Say, well, this is. [00:21:14] This is why I am. [00:21:17] And so I am going to design everything in my life to revolve around the why of that. And obviously there's other people involved, there's other people who are affected by that. So that has to play a part in that design. Right? [00:21:35] Because those challenges, too, those responsibilities, too, are part of the process. [00:21:44] Whether you could say that those were mistakes or they were decisions that are in the path of that journey, either way, they were made. [00:21:55] So the path continues forward. [00:21:59] And. [00:22:04] Ultimately it's not about the destination, because I have no idea where that destination will be or when. [00:22:11] It's just about the journey of daily, like, being more aligned, being more me, living closer and more boldly in that purpose, being willing, as Alex Hormosi said, to be embarrassed, to be humiliated, to be mocked. [00:22:39] But who's doing that anyways? Like, they're either NPCs or aren't even real, or they're people who are sadly, tragically lost themselves. [00:22:52] To be so insecure is to mock another human being who is attempting genuinely, authentically to live their path. Not, I'm not trying to leave your path. [00:23:04] I'm not going to expect you to live my path, but I'm not going to mock you for living what is yours. [00:23:14] That's just crazy. And yet we put so much value in those opinions and in that criticism of other people who are insecure and who are obviously not living their purpose and walking their path of learning their lessons learned. They're mocking and criticizing other people for attempting to do that, which is the whole reason why we as humans are here on this earth. [00:23:38] It's crazy that we put so much stock in that. [00:23:41] So. [00:23:46] God bless the voices who are out there that have big followings that are putting a lot of this stuff out because it's good reminders. It's very true. [00:24:02] It's not just that the price to pay is humiliation or embarrassment or mockery. It's that that shouldn't be a price. [00:24:11] Like, that should just be like water off a duck's back, right? [00:24:16] Those types of things, those external criticisms and voices and to call toxic was just let it go. [00:24:25] Because consider the source. Like someone that is so wounded, so hurt, so sad, or so not even real that they would attack someone genuinely seeking their own purpose. [00:24:42] That shouldn't. [00:24:43] That shouldn't be something you listen to, that I listen to should be completely ignored. [00:24:50] Just learn to block it out. Like the sound of dogs in the background or whatever. It's like, I don't take it personally. [00:24:57] Just. It's just noise. [00:24:59] That's what other people's voices that are criticizing. [00:25:02] If you are pursuing your goal and your purpose and there's people criticizing you, Should just be noise and background. [00:25:15] Then it should fade into white noise, brown noise, purple, squeaky noise, but just disappear and just focus on my path, my journey, my goals. [00:25:31] Make sure that every day, like there's alignment energetically, physically, emotionally, mentally, tangibly in the work that I'm doing and not worry so much about outcomes. [00:25:52] That's what gets to me. It's like wanting the outcome, getting frustrated when it doesn't come soon enough, very impatient. [00:26:07] Learning to just be patient. [00:26:10] Time isn't real. I understand that. [00:26:13] But it is. But it isn't. But it kind of is. [00:26:19] Like, just be patient. It's not. [00:26:25] It's not something that I can necessarily control the outcome of everything, but I can control my actions every day and I can control my attitude every day and my energy and all of those aspects that are me. [00:26:45] Those are the things that I can control. [00:26:50] And to make sure that nothing is wasted, that it is efficient and aligned and focused on purpose. [00:27:02] A target, a goal of being and doing what that entails. [00:27:13] Yeah,
